Privacy policy

Last updated 16 September 2026.

notchu is a shared care log for a pet, made by Igor Štumberger. This page explains what the app stores, where, and who can see it.

What the app stores

Where it lives

Everything is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. When you invite someone to your pet, the pet's records are shared with them through iCloud sharing, and they see the same entries you do. When you remove them, or they leave, the sharing stops.

notchu has no server of its own. We cannot read your log, your photos or your pet's name. Apple's iCloud terms apply to the data held in iCloud.

Notifications

The co-caregiver's phone shows a notification when you log something. It is built on that phone from the synced entry. notchu does not send notifications through any service of its own.

Purchases

notchu Plus is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment and keeps the purchase record; notchu only learns whether the purchase is active. When you buy Plus, the pet's shared record is marked as unlocked so everyone sharing the pet benefits. No payment details reach notchu.

What we do not do

Deleting your data

Delete the pet in the app, or leave the household, and its records are removed from your iCloud account and your device. Deleting the app removes the local copy. Records shared with you by someone else stay with them.

Children

notchu is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
